Full Time – Detroit Medical Center (DMC Sinai‑Grace Hospital), Detroit, MI – Day Shift
Overview Reporting to Nursing Leadership for the hospital site, the Manager Patient Services oversees a major nursing operational support function. The role plans, implements, and evaluates processes related to performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, fiscal management, staff competence, and customer service outcomes within designated units or services.
Responsibilities
Develop and monitor budget for designated nursing operational support areas.
Plan, implement, and evaluate activities related to nursing unit goals, departmental objectives, hospital and DMC objectives.
Collaborate with Senior Leadership and subordinate staff to provide business support to Nursing operations.
Lead performance appraisals and assess performance of daily, monthly, and yearly goals for assigned area(s).
Identify need for departmental policy development and/or revise policies in collaboration with higher-level management.
Ensure regulatory requirements and standards are communicated, implemented, and monitored.
Model customer service excellence and maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and DMC policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
Three years of progressive nursing experience.
