Overview Due to continued expansion, Fitness for Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a unique 50/50 hybrid clinical + athletic‑performance role. This is not a traditional therapy position.
You will split your time between:
50% Clinical OT: Treating a diverse pediatric and young adult caseload—including developmental, motor, orthopedic, and neurodivergent populations
50% Advanced Motor Development: Coaching, training, and developing gross motor skills using our high‑tech exergaming systems, athletic training tools, and sensory‑motor equipment
We want a clinician who thinks like an athlete, moves like a coach, and thrives in a fast‑paced, sensory‑rich environment. Full‑time availability (up to 40 hours per week) is preferred, but part‑time candidates with flexible schedules are also encouraged to apply.
Caseload / Patient Population You will work in our state‑of‑the‑art outpatient clinic, serving:
Children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, developmental/genetic disorders, motor delays, orthopedic needs, learning differences, and more
Pediatric and adolescent athletes needing gross motor development, return‑to‑play conditioning, or movement retraining
Dedicated time is scheduled for notes, parent communication, and treatment planning.
What You Will Do
Lead high‑energy motor development and athletic‑style training sessions using exergaming, balance systems, and advanced movement platforms
Create engaging, motivating, play‑based treatment sessions tailored to each child’s needs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to build individualized plans of care
Maintain accurate documentation using Clinic Source EMR
Clinic Hours Typical full‑time schedules are:
Sunday–Thursday, 10 am–7 pm
Tuesday–Saturday, 10 am–7 pm
Flexible options are available for part‑time candidates.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated full‑time compensation: $75,000–$90,000+ depending on experience, discipline, and qualifications
Full‑time staff receive: health insurance, paid vacation time, continuing education allowance and access to cutting‑edge equipment and training resources
Job Requirements
Valid Maryland license as an OT
Sports, athletics, or coaching experience highly preferred
Experience in gross motor development, motor learning, or sensory‑motor training
Background working with pediatrics, neurodivergent children, or developmental disorders is a plus
High‑energy, creative, outgoing personality
Ability to work one weekend day Full‑time is preferred, but part‑time applicants are welcome
New graduates will be considered if comfortable working independently
