Albany Med is the busiest Trauma Center in New York State. As a Level One Trauma Center, our multi-disciplinary emergency team works around the clock to provide the most advanced care found in the Northeast. We are a regional Level One Trauma Center, serving a large area of Upstate New York and the Northeast region. Our services include a Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI and Advanced Critical Care Services. Working with first responders and the LifeNet air‑medical crews, we care for patients transported to us, either from a scene or transferring facility for the higher level of care that is unique to Albany Medical Center, in our region. The Department of Emergency Medicine is divided into several different subspecialties, including: • Adult Emergency Medicine • ED Observation Unit • ED Behavioral Health
Must have: Active NY RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Able to accept Med/Surg Nurses who will work with our adult observation patients and admissions in ED. TNCC preferred. Procedures performed on unit: Neurosurgical interventions (EVD, SEPS drain), Procedural sedation, post‑thrombectomy care, any procedures that require the Advanced skills listed above
