About the Position TravelNurseSource, in partnership with Specialty Professional Services, is hiring a Registered Nurse with a current Alaskan or Compact license and at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience for a night‑shift assignment in Wrangell, Alaska. The role will support our client’s medical‑surgical unit with patient care during overnight hours.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a medical‑surgical setting during night shifts.
Administer medications and treatments per the unit protocol.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care.
Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
Current registered nurse license in Alaska or a applicable compact state.
Full BLS and at least one specialty certification (ACLS, trauma, etc.).
Minimum 1 year of recent medical‑surgical clinical experience.
Two current clinical references.
Ability to work night shift on a 52‑week contract.
