Job Responsibilities
To perform high level clinical respiratory care under indirect technical supervision as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
Demonstrate a strong approach to all network initiatives and serve as a role model for KHN mission, vision, and values.
Perform various respiratory procedures on a daily basis under indirect supervision for all age groups as specified per campus departmental policy.
Exercise good independent clinical judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.
Maintain productivity at or above required levels.
Assure correct documentation of all records.
Occasionally perform the role of Lead Therapist, shift Team Leader, or clinical Instructor as assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education: Graduates of a 2–4‑year AMA approved Respiratory Program.
Required Licenses: Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist; Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner for the State of Ohio; Credentials issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Active AARC membership and demonstration of acute/critical care knowledge related to cardiopulmonary diseases; experience in precepting acute/critical care areas; supervisor capabilities; current BLS with ACLS and proficiency in P, NRP for respective work area.
