Cub Creek Science Camp is a residential summer camp for children ages 7–17, located in Rolla, Missouri. Each summer, we serve approximately 240 campers per session with a seasonal staff of about 100 team members. With over 300 animals in our hands‑on zoo and over 100 activities, we are not your average summer camp. We are dedicated to providing our staff and campers from all over the world an unforgettable and unique summer camp experience, but above all else, we strive to help our campers gain self‑confidence, discover who they are, and make lasting friendships!

Dates May 17–May 30: Health Lodge preparation & staff orientation May 31–August 9: Ten (10) one‑week camper sessions
Position Description The Director of Health Services is responsible for overseeing all medical care for campers and staff throughout the summer season. This position manages the Health Lodge, supervises medical staff, oversees medication systems, and serves as the primary medical contact for parents.
This is a fast‑paced, team‑based environment ideal for healthcare professionals who enjoy:
Working with children and teens
Being part of a collaborative camp community
Practicing medicine in a non‑traditional, outdoor setting
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical care to campers and staff in the Health Lodge
Manage all medication systems, records, and compliance with Standing Orders
Serve as the primary communication link with camper parents regarding health concerns
Supervise the Camp EMT and Health Lodge Assistant
Make all decisions regarding off‑site medical care and emergency transport
Maintain accurate medical documentation and incident reports
Ensure compliance with Camp Health Standards and healthcare policies
Benefits $12,000 for a 12 week summer. Housing, meals, and laundry included. Weekend work is required, this position requires availability to work on‑site 7 days a week for the contract period.
Required Experience and Skills
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a residential camp environment
