About the Position TravelNurseSource is collaborating with Fusion Medical Staffing to place a qualified Med/Surg RN for a 13‑week assignment in Farmington, New Mexico. This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive clinical team.
Required Qualifications
One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (\"AHA/ARC\") Certification
Preferred Qualifications
NIHSS certification
ACLS (\"AHA / ARC\") certification
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Responsibilities
Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards
Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns to the care team
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians, and monitor patient responses
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for post‑surgical patients
Document patient information in the medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing based on acuity and clinical needs
Ensure infection control practices, hand hygiene and PPE use are strictly followed
Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring they are respected
Facilitate discharge planning, coordinating with patients, families, and external resources
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
Computer proficiency
Physical stamina to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100lb), push/pull, and bend
Professional attitude and interpersonal effectiveness with diverse personnel
Ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and meet deadlines under pressure
Attention to detail and ability to work under close supervision or independently
Visual acuity and effective communication
