Position Overview

Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) invites applications for two Biology Instructors in the Natural and Agricultural Sciences Department. This full‑time, tenure‑track 9‑month instructor position offers 15 contact hours per semester and includes teaching general‑education biology, pre‑health prerequisites, and biology majors across LLCC’s main campus and outreach centers. Key Responsibilities

Design, deliver, and assess courses and laboratory sessions, creating a learning environment that fosters student success and active learning. Prepare lessons, course syllabi, and student learning outcomes, integrating and evaluating outcomes in support of LLCC’s accreditation. Maintain accurate grading, registration, and student performance records and provide timely feedback. Maintain office hours and participate in departmental and institutional operations, program review, and curricular development. Engage in professional development to remain current in the discipline and enhance instructional technology use. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check. Required Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in a biology discipline. Prior teaching experience at the college level. Strong interpersonal skills and intermediate to advanced computer skills. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in a biology discipline. Experience teaching general‑education, majors, and/or pre‑health biology courses at a community college. Training in science pedagogy for higher education and evidence of shared governance or committee service. Experience using a learning management system and teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Benefits and Compensation

Salary range: $51,901 – $93,337 per year, depending on education level and experience. Opportunities for overload, summer teaching, and coordinator assignments.
