This position offers a 12‑week paid training program for dialysis, growth opportunities, and a full‑time schedule with no on‑call, over‑nights, or Sunday shifts.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE Supports FMCNA’s mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program and all regulatory and policy requirements.
DUTIES / ACTIVITIES
Customer Service:
Drive FMCNA culture through values and customer service standards.
Accountable for outstanding customer service to all customers.
Develop and maintain effective relationships through timely communication.
Respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues promptly.
Patient Related:
Provide direct patient care for assigned patients.
Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures as prescribed.
Monitor and document dialysis parameters on flow sheets.
Report significant patient condition changes or equipment problems to the supervisor.
Support teaching plan to educate patient and family on renal disease and dialysis.
Assist with emergency operational procedures.
Administer IV medication per orders and state laws.
Conduct pre, interim, and post‑treatment reviews.
Initiate basic CPR measures in emergencies.
Technical:
Operate dialysis equipment safely and troubleshoot when necessary.
Maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
Address blood spills per FMCNA Bloodborne Pathogen Control Policies.
Operate emergency equipment per SOPs.
Staff Related:
Participate in staff meetings and care plan discussions.
Acquire knowledge through in‑service classes.
Act as a resource for other staff.
Coordinate care plan with physician, dietitian, and social worker.
Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Desk and personal computer work; interactions with patients and staff. Requires heavy lifting of patients, frequent standing, bending, and ability to move equipment up to 200 lbs. Travel to assigned facilities is required. Work environment is a health care facility.
EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN).
Current State licensure.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
One year medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred.
Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
ICU experience preferred but not required.
Complete training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
Complete CPR Certification.
Complete Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire.
Availability to provide coverage during short‑staffing periods.
Must meet Ishihara’s Color Blindness test.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $39.00 (dependent on location and qualifications).
