Job Summary A
Radiologic Technologist
performs diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. They operate imaging equipment, position patients for accurate images, ensure patient safety, and maintain detailed records. Rad Techs follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities
Operate X-Ray Machine/Take radiological images
Operate PACs system
Process charges and related paperwork using computer/EMR as directed
Clean, maintain and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment
Protect patient and other personnel from radiation hazards
Collaborate with the ordering provider
Clean and make minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and report equipment malfunction to Radiology Manager or designee
Prepare copies of X-ray CD'S for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians as required
Assist with the transportation of patients between the examination rooms and Radiology department
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Associate's degree or higher from an ARRT-approved program.
At least 2 years of experience in Medical Imaging
Valid State License/Certification
Preferred
Orthopedic or Sports Medicine: 1 year (Preferred)
