Job Summary As a Radiology Technologist, you will operate standard, portable, and specialized X‑ray equipment to perform routine and semi‑complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. You will provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x‑rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.

Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to the PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

Turn over and prepare rooms using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.

Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Work Schedule Friday – Sunday, 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Requirements Experience

One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist – preferred.

Education

Graduate of an educational program in Radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) OR graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology OR a military training program of equivalent standards.

Associate’s Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology – preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with the Texas Medical Board (TMB).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.

Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
