Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Rapid Response INTEGRIS Health (Baptist Medical Center) is recruiting an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Rapid Response Team. The role involves 13 14‑hour shifts per month in a fast‑paced, interprofessional environment.

The Nurse Practitioner provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow‑up as directed. This position requires population‑specific competencies and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals appropriate to the level of patient contact.

Responsibilities

Initiate and complete detailed patient assessments.

Order laboratory tests, radiological examinations, and other routine diagnostic procedures.

Diagnose the actual or potential health problem or need, based upon an analysis of the data collected, and plan therapeutic intervention.

Order and initiate appropriate medication, treatment, and consultations based upon an analysis of the data collected.

Perform routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing (excluding tendons, arteries or nerves), wound care, venous and arterial blood draws, and manage simple conditions produced by infection, trauma or other disease processes.

Educate patients regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s).

The Nurse Practitioner reports to the supervising physician and Operations Manager Practice Management. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit‑test requirements. Potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals; must follow standard precautions.

Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Current Oklahoma Nurse Practitioner license.

Current BLS Certification.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
