Job Summary Performs laboratory work related to studies in T cell immunology and cancer immunotherapy (i.e. CAR‑T, TCR‑T, or TIL therapy). Maintains mouse colony (including genotyping) and research database, communicates well with other laboratory members, and works well as part of a team. Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
Design and perform molecular biological, biochemical, and immunological assays (gene constructs, PCR analysis, western blot, flow cytometry, ELISA, etc.)
Prepare culture media, incubate and culture human and mouse cell lines.
Perform molecular biology techniques and flow cytometry techniques and analysis.
Work with experimental animals (mouse colony maintenance and genotyping).
Supervise junior lab members.
Assist PI with writing publications and grant applications.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related natural or life science field AND experience in research, basic science, or clinical laboratory, particularly clinical trial research.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in same fields AND a minimum of three years of research and/or clinical experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi‑tasking, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Abilities
Maintain confidentiality.
Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite interruptions, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions.
Shift/Salary/Benefits Shift: Days; Monday – Friday (work outside of normal business hours may be required).
Salary: $45,400 – $56,700 annually (within range B8, commensurate with qualifications).
Benefits: health, dental, life insurance, teachers retirement (or optional retirement plan), paid vacations, sick leave, 13 paid holidays. Eligible for Tuition Assistance Program after 6 months.
Position fully or partially funded through external sources; continued employment contingent on availability of funds.
