Senior Recruitment Consultant - Renewable Energy | Operations | Maintenance | Asset Management
We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar farm systems. This role is hands‑on, field‑based, and critical to ensuring that large‑scale solar assets operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Base pay range: $30.00/hr – $60.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting electrical faults, inverter errors, and underperforming strings.
Assist with system commissioning, acceptance testing, and performance verification.
Use IV curve tracers, multimeters, thermal imaging cameras, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance and identify issues.
Complete routine inspections to ensure compliance with NEC standards, safety guidelines, and project specifications.
Document all maintenance activities, corrective actions, and site conditions using digital reporting tools.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
Support SCADA system checks, data monitoring, and remote issue escalation.
Follow strict safety protocols including lockout/tagout, fall protection, and high‑voltage procedures.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in solar PV maintenance, preferably in commercial/industrial settings.
Strong understanding of DC electrical systems, AC distribution, and power electronics.
Ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and site plans.
Experience with inverter platforms (e.g., SMA, Sungrow, Solectria, or similar) is a plus.
OSHA 10/30 certification preferred; NABCEP credential a strong advantage.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights when required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple project sites.
