QC Lab Technician – 3rd Shift
Custom Synthesis is seeking an experienced QC Lab Technician for its 3rd shift. 3rd shift working hours: Sunday – Thursday, 12:00 am to 8:00 am.
The primary function of this position is the testing of raw materials and finished products. In addition, the QC Technician will assist in other laboratory duties.
Primary Job Duties
Perform testing of raw materials and finished products per SOPs (pulling samples for testing, record‑keeping of documents & samples, monitoring production batches & making adjustments as necessary).
Perform maintenance of testing equipment, including calibrations and calibration verifications per SOPs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
Secondary Job Duties
Assist with preparation of samples to fulfill sample requests.
Perform miscellaneous laboratory or ISO‑9000 tasks as assigned by the Technical Director.
Provide coverage during staff absences and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements – Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with emphasis in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
3–5 years of analytical laboratory experience.
Proficiency with analytical instrumentation (GC, HPLC, NIR); willingness to pursue external training as needed.
Solid math and computer proficiency (Excel required; Chempax a plus).
Ability to successfully interface with customers, associates, and the community.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow complex requests, and performance in a high‑stress, fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.
Regular and reliable attendance. Required to be on‑site.
Physical Requirements Physical ability to perform the essential job functions of the position, which includes prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer performing repetitive hand movements and fine coordination, occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to
