Join our team in delivering high‑quality mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services to Kent County.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse responsible for direct care and support for clients with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or intellectual and developmental disorders in our psychiatric services department.

Compensation:

$30.34–$40.22 per hour (final offer based on internal equity, skills, education, experience, and credentials).

Work schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. No weekends, on call, or holiday requirements. On‑site at 790 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

Minimum Qualifications

Registered Nurse degree.

Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan.

Knowledge of biological factors in mental illness.

Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric medications.

Knowledge of clinic procedures and practices.

Knowledge of State and Federal laws regarding privacy and HIPAA.

Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology in a mental health setting.

Ability to work within the American Nurses’ Association Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing practice.

CPR certification.

Ability to work independently and make independent judgments and decisions based on professional knowledge.

Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders is valued.

Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, data entry, and email.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients in stressful situations.
