Responsibilities
Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions in health care and housing units.
Contribute to individualized treatment planning and consult with RNs and staff as needed.
Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administer medications (including IV therapy if certified), and perform diagnostic tests per established protocols.
Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhere to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies.
Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies.
Qualifications Education
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience
Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience.
Licenses/Certifications
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
