Respiratory Therapist - Nights Location: Edward Hospital Part Time: 24 hours per week Hours: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, every other weekend Travel: May require coverage at Plainfield Emergency Center What You Will Need
Education:
Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CoARC) License/Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association ACLS (within 24 months of employment) NRP (within 24 months of employment) PALS (within 24 months of employment)
What You Will Do
Under minimal supervision, provide routine and complex respiratory therapy treatment to patients perform routine pulmonary function tests, interpret physician orders, obtain pertinent patient information, arrange and set up necessary supplies and equipment, monitor equipment for proper functioning, record data in patient charts, assist in monitoring department procedures, recommend enhancements, and develop procedures as requested.
