Volunteers of America‑Greater New York (VOA‑Greater New York) is an anti‑poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County, including a special education preschool program. We are in search of new talent in the following position. Position: Speech & Language Pathologist
The Speech & Language Pathologist develops, implements, and evaluates treatment plans for students with speech/language needs at the Bronx Early Learning Center, a vibrant and nurturing special education preschool. Location:
Bronx, NY 10457 Minimum Qualifications:
New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities Master’s degree in speech‑language pathology and/or NYS Professional License as a Speech Language Pathologist Principal Responsibilities:
Assess speech‑language skills to determine child’s need for therapy Provide quality speech therapy services to students as mandated on the IEP Consult and interface with colleagues during team meetings Provide parent training and ongoing communication with parents Complete all required paperwork and documentation Provide in‑service training and participate in staff development activities Meet with supervisor on an ongoing basis Benefits:
