What You Will Be Doing Working as a DBT Case Manager with the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) team you will provide linking, advocacy, coordinating and monitoring to adults with mental illness or substance use disorders. You will be working with individuals who are receiving comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy, supporting them in addressing barriers to their treatment and assisting their primary therapist with documentation needed for their care. You will cofacilitate DBT groups alongside an experienced DBT therapist. You will also assist clients in practicing DBT skills in their home and community. This position will also work as a case manager in our Adult Outpatient Program assisting individuals transitioning into and out of services. You will co‑facilitate orientation groups with an experienced clinician for individuals newly referred for therapy.

What We Require You will have a minimum of one to three years’ experience working with adults with serious mental illness, substance abuse and/or co‑occurring disorders that also have co‑morbid health conditions. You will have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Preferred: Licensed Bachelors Social Work (LBSW).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Physical Efforts– Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

Working Conditions– Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer screen for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
