Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state‑of‑the‑art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.
Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity available within our Medical Oncology nursing team located on the north side of Indianapolis at the North Oncology Center. If you are looking for challenging work and meaningful advancement, then you should consider a career with Community. Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center is a partnership between Community Health Network and MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the world’s largest and most respected cancer centers.
Medical Oncology is a great unit to expand your nursing career because of our diverse patient population caring for medical, renal, and oncology patients. The unit fosters growth and development, promotes a culture of self‑care, care of each other, and care of patients and their families. We invest in our team by encouraging those with a passion in Oncology to take advantage of our paid hands‑on training to become a chemo‑certified Oncology nurse. The oncology nurse collaborates closely with our outpatient cancer centers, providers and dedicated Oncology pharmacist.
Exceptional Skills And Qualifications
Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Recent Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
Two years of ICU or Med/Surg experience is strongly preferred.
