We hold an annual Dodgeball for Charity event at our Q2 Stadium in Austin, inviting other local companies to play, and community organizations we support to raise money and awareness together.**A Typical Day:*** Assist with preparation and filing of SEC reports including 10-Q/Ks, 8-Ks, financial audit support preparation* Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial presentations for senior leadership, audit committee and other external parties including supporting Investor Relations and the quarterly earnings release process* Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including the statement of cash flows* Prepare memos and documentation analyzing the application of GAAP to non-routine transactions* Identify and implement process improvements to simplify financial reporting processes* Research and monitor new GAAP pronouncements and analyze their impact to Q2 to ensure compliance with new accounting guidance* Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and related disclosures to account for various cash transactions including fixed income investments and debt* Monitor cash and investment portfolio and perform related treasury modeling and cash flow forecasting* Prepare quarterly debt compliance calculations and certifications* Participate in special projects by providing technical accounting research and subject matter expertise.
Projects may include business combinations, impairment reviews, ASC 606 expertise, and accounting systems implementations* Execute and monitor internal controls around financial reporting functions**Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. This position will be involved in a broad range of accounting areas, including assisting in the financial reporting function, treasury analysis, technical accounting research, creating and maintaining accounting policies, and support of significant transactions.
