Position Summary The Accountant will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day financial transactions, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting audits and budgeting processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and maintain financial records including general ledgers, journal entries, and reconciliations
Process accounts payable and receivable
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Assist in budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal/state financial regulations
Support audits by providing documentation and explanations to auditors
Track project and operational expenditures, especially for construction and energy contracts
Collaborate with procurement, project managers, and executive leadership on financial reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction, energy, or infrastructure sectors
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
CPA or pursuit of CPA certification is a plus
