Commercial Construction Administrator (Project Management)
Diversified Roofing is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Construction Administrator with a strong accounting foundation to support financial and administrative functions for large-scale commercial roofing projects. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance, and smooth coordination between accounting, payroll, and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management
Perform Work-In-Progress (WIP) calculations and maintain accurate job cost reporting.
Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with budget tracking.
Manage accounts payable/receivable and vendor invoicing.
Certified Payroll & Compliance
Process certified payroll for prevailing wage projects.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and reporting.
Construction Administration
Support project managers with contract administration, change orders, and lien releases.
Track subcontractor compliance (insurance, certifications, safety documentation).
Assist with billing schedules and progress payment applications.
Reporting & Analysis
Generate detailed reports for management, including job cost analysis and variance tracking.
Prepare compliance reports for government and institutional projects.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
3+ years in commercial construction accounting or administration; familiarity with WIP schedules, job costing, and certified payroll.
Skills:
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas); strong organizational and communication skills; experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or similar).
Preferred
Knowledge of roofing or building envelope industry.
Experience with government contracts and compliance reporting.
