Health and Human Resources Program Manager 1 – Office of Emergency Medical Services, Kanawha County Apply for the Health and Human Resources Program Manager 1 role with the State of West Virginia.

Responsibilities

Direct and manage the Trauma Designation and Categorization Division.

Meet with OEMS Director, OEMS Medic Director, and Deputy Trauma Medical Director to review processes, discuss and develop policies, protocols, personnel, and other related issues.

Act as the liaison for the Cabinet Secretary to the Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Fund board.

Represent the Commissioner for the Bureau for Public Motorcycle Safety and Awareness.

Serve as a member representing OEMS and Trauma on many federal committees.

Develop, implement, and monitor Trauma Medical Services for Children, and other programmatic and review programs, EMS‑C program, and categorization.

Coordinate State Advisory Council biannual meetings at alternating trauma sites statewide; assist with coordination of Stroke Executive Committee meetings; provide injury prevention education materials to trauma program managers.

Research, review, and monitor legislation or activities impacting care of sick or injured patients in West Virginia; share information with legislative liaisons for BPH provided state legislators.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.

One year of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience may substitute for the Master’s degree.

Three years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, including at least one year in a program administration capacity.

Post‑graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for non‑supervisory experience.

"Eight (8) years of Nursing for the training and experience in place of the 8 years of EMS experience."

Current West Virginia licensure or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.
