Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team in either Redmond, Oregon or Kalamazoo, Michigan. This role is critical in supporting cost accounting, financial analysis, and driving improvements in financial operations within our commercial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Plan and conduct studies to collect data on costs of business activities such as raw materials, inventory, and labor.
Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and production methods to assess cost impact.
Prepare reports comparing standard and actual production costs; provide variance analysis.
Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers; ensure transaction accuracy before approval.
Ensure proper handling and classification of financial transactions; approve within designated limits.Investigate and correct financial discrepancies in entries, reports, and supporting documents.
Advise on accounting for reserves, assets, and expenditures.
Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and cost control processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and ERP systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial/industrial manufacturing (especially traffic doors or similar).
Familiarity with GAAP and internal auditing procedures.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
