Staff Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role works under the direction of the CFO and senior accounting staff and plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Assist with the full cycle of sales to receipt, including invoicing and processing cash receipts.
Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations for accounting subledgers, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and goods received/not invoiced. Resolve discrepancies as needed.
Maintain financial schedules and prepare related journal entries for prepaid expenses, property tax accruals, interest expense accruals, and debt placement costs.
Support monthly close and consolidation processes.
Assist with the accurate and timely completion of external audits.
Collaborate with the CFO and management team on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
