Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA Indigo Hall, a senior living community in Charleston, SC, is seeking a temporary (6‑week) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support patients in our rehabilitation program. The assignment starts on August 4, and may be extended to 12 weeks.

Base pay:

$35.00 /hr (weekly pay). Minimum 1 month of employment initiates health, dental, vision benefits and student loan repayment, a 401(k) match, and more.

Job Summary Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the OTA will provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, consistent with professional practice and ethical standards.

Licenses and Certifications

Current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.

Current CPR certification (preferred).

Qualifications

Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.

0–1 year of relevant experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in executing treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.

Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving functional abilities and independence.

Observe and document patients’ responses to therapy, report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies for continued progress.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, offering observations and insights.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
