Job Summary
Responsible for providing a wide range of mental health services to facilitate individual psychosocial adjustment for people with mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance abuse to ensure meaningful participation in community life.

Responsibilities and Duties
Evaluation and diagnosis of recipients; performs psychological testing (psychologist only).
Provides crisis intervention at appropriate settings.
Provides individual, family, and group therapy based on the person‑centered plan and best practice standards.
Provides internal and external consultation, referral, and treatment coordination as appropriate.
Collaborates with other community agencies through consultation and coordination of services.
May specialize in particular treatments such as substance abuse, jail diversion or OBRA, and/or populations such as children, older adults, or persons who are deaf or hard‑of‑hearing, both on and off site.
May assist with public‑relations functions, including educational and training presentations.
Completes necessary documentation timely and prepares internal and external reports as needed.
Stays current with professional credentialing and knowledge base with the scope of practice.
Participates in staff meetings, committees, and professional development activities.
General Education Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Clinical/Counseling Psychology
Courses Clinical areas, professional ethics
Training Cognitive Behavior Treatment, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care training preferred.
Job‑Related Experience Sufficient experience to perform the position at a satisfactory level is required. Experience with relevant population in a community mental health setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Michigan state licensure. Valid driver's license while operating vehicle on agency business.
Schedule This is a full‑time, hybrid position, 40 hours per week. Schedule is typically Monday through Friday 8 am–5 pm.
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $55,016 – $74,727 depending on experience.
