Description TMC is a therapy provider that brings physical, occupational, and speech‑therapy services to long‑term care providers. We are growing and looking for an SLP to join the team. Key Responsibilities As a Speech‑Language Pathologist, you will diagnose, treat, and manage communication and swallowing disorders across all ages. Your core responsibilities include:
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized tools, observations, and diagnostic methods to identify the nature and severity of communication challenges.
Treatment Planning and Intervention: Develop individualized therapy plans that incorporate evidence‑based techniques for speech production, language comprehension, social communication, voice quality, and swallowing function.
Therapeutic Interventions: Lead a variety of therapeutic activities—articulation drills, language exercises, cognitive‑communication tasks, voice therapy, fluency shaping, and swallowing protocols—to facilitate functional improvement.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC): Assess and implement AAC systems, collaborating with patients, families, and caregivers to customize solutions that enhance daily communication.
Dysphagia Management: Evaluate and treat swallowing disorders through assessments, therapeutic exercises, compensatory strategies, diet modifications, and rehabilitation techniques to promote safe, efficient swallowing.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Master’s degree in an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program.
Current state license or certification in practice.
