POSITION:

SALARY:
$45.70 per hour, DOE
REPORTS TO:
Director of Nursing
LOCATION:
Convalescent Center, Nespelem, WA
Basic Functions Non-Exempt. Provide direct nursing care to the residents. Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the NAC’s. Such supervision must be in accordance with all current federal, state, and tribal standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. Provide the highest degree of care to each and every resident.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training
Must possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Washington
Require 12 months of experience in a long term care facility, preferred
Must successfully clear an extensive Criminal History Background Inquiry and maintain throughout employment
Must maintain a State Driver's License and be eligible for the Tribes’ insurance throughout employment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be able to read, write, and understand the English language
Be knowledgeable in Geriatrics and LTC setting and Chronic Diseases
Be able to work and think independently
Respect resident rights
Be knowledgeable of nursing, medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
Report abuse and neglect to State Hotline as a mandated reporter
Have the ability to make independent decisions
Willing to cover extra shifts when able, as this facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet
Be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
