Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington RN jobs
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment completed
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Clinical proficiency with patient types: CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, DM, blood product administration, bipap, CVA overflow, post-cath patients
Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, femoral arterial sheath monitoring
Preferred: Art line, Impella, and/or IABP experience
Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors is a plus
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/CCU
Administer and monitor IV drips: diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, heparin
Perform and assist with procedures: chest tube management, wound care, dressing changes
Monitor and document telemetry strips; collaborate with telemetry tech and clinical support staff
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams: CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists
Float as needed to Telemetry, Med-Surg, and Neurology-Medical units
Participate in general hospital orientation and two shifts of unit-specific orientation
Maintain professional standards and provide compassionate patient care
