Position Overview The Certified Medical Assistant (Part Time) supports front‑line patient care in primary and specialty settings, assists with minor procedures and reception tasks, and helps maintain a welcoming clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Set up patients in the exam room and interview patients about changes in health since the last visit.
Perform and document vital signs (manual blood pressures), EKGs, medication reconciliation, and reasons for visit/health care concerns.
Assist providers with minor surgical procedures and prepare appropriate medications for injections.
Manage phone messages, faxes, and medical reception responsibilities as needed.
Know medical insurance terminology, computer skills for scheduling, and familiarity with general office procedures and equipment.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Medical Assistant required.
Experience setting up exam rooms, performing vital signs and EKGs, medication reconciliation, patient interview, minor surgical assistance, medication injection, and reception tasks.
Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, computer scheduling skills, and general office procedures.
Licenses / Certifications
Certified Medical Assistant required.
