Our Position The Registered Nurse (RN) position oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse and nursing care for individuals served in Assertive Community Treatment services.

Your Responsibilities
Coordinate services with various public and private community health, mental health, and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals.
Assist individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process.
Conduct assessments and treatment plans.
Respond to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed.
Complete clinical documentation as required.
Manage the medication system in conjunction with the psychiatrist, administering and documenting medication treatment.
Manage a secure medication room to support the dispensing of medications, which includes both oral and intramuscular psychotropic medications for individuals in need of such support.
Screens and monitors individuals for medical problems and side effects.
Engage in health promotion, prevention and education activities.
If the individual agrees, develop strategies to maximize taking medications as prescribed (e.g., reviewing the home environment to find cues to remind the individual to take medications; working with individual and psychiatric care provider to reduce the number of times medications are taken each day).
Communicate and coordinate services with other medical providers.
Educate the team in monitoring psychiatric symptoms and medication side‑effects.
Understand and adhere to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
Keep abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all RI International policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Perform other related duties assigned.
ACT team members shall provide “first responder” crisis response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year to beneficiaries experiencing a crisis.

Valid and current state‑specific RN license.
Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side‑effects, reactions, and interactions of medications prescribed.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Effective listening skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Trauma‑Informed Care experience preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

Additional Requirements: Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Professional, Licensed Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse (Master’s degree in Behavioral Health Field and registered or licensed with California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS)) (Medical refers to therapists as MHP’s, Riverside County refers to therapists as Clinical Therapist (CT)) (Associate degrees are ok).
ADDENDUM – Delaware Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Licensure: Valid and current state‑specific RN license.
