Lab Technician Actalent is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Lab Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will challenge existing methods and drive improvements for higher throughput and quality.

Integrate with existing production methods and support engineering and science teams in researching and constructing innovative solutions.

Participate in the development, construction, deployment, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems for laboratory production and agricultural environments.

Assist in the startup and functional testing of working prototypes to validate system performance compared to requirements, ensuring compliance with safety and design standards.

Responsibilities

Challenge existing methods and drive improvements for higher throughput and quality.

Support engineering and science teams in researching and constructing innovative solutions.

Develop, construct, deploy, and test mechanical and electrical systems for laboratory production and agricultural environments.

Assist in the startup and functional testing of working prototypes to validate system performance compared to requirements.

Collaborate with Safety departments to comply with company and industry safety and design standards.

Essential Skills

Electrical or Mechanical knowledge.

Sample preparation and data collection experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Associate Degree or B.Sc. in Engineering/Science.

1-3 years of relevant experience.

Basic knowledge of constructing and testing electrical and mechanical systems.

Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with more than one supervisor.

Experience using standard office productivity software like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment This role requires working on-site full-time and includes occasional travel up to 15% of the time. The environment involves the use of various technologies and equipment for research and production, adhering to safety standards and protocols.

Pay And Benefits Pay Range: $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
