Overview
At Mercyhealth, we focus on quality care and patient experience. Work within a health system where our referring providers and our therapy team provide great access and readily communicate and coordinate care. Our outpatient clinics provide care for various musculoskeletal and neurological diagnoses as well as post‑operative care, vestibular, and more. We are currently seeking physical therapists to join our team of providers with various experiences who can provide mentoring and guidance.
Physical Therapy is provided in personalized, on‑one‑one sessions, by a PT or PTA

Responsibilities
Integrates subjective and objective data to establish a treatment plan.
Utilizes exercise, physical agents, and manual techniques to address deficits.
Maintains a thorough record of services provided with appropriate coding and billing.
Communicates with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
Performs thorough and timely electronic documentation
Strengths in care delivery as evidenced by peer review feedback; consistently demonstrates advanced evaluation and treatment techniques
Participates actively in the PI and CQI process
Assists in the orientation, training and mentoring of new partners
Participates in cost saving initiatives within the department
Takes an active role in the performance improvement processMaintain a high standard of patient care and provide effective communication between physical therapists, assistants and the physician group
Plans and conducts lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students and community groups.
Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
Certification and Licensure Licensed as a Physical Therapist in WI, IL or both if required
Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days
Special Physical Demands The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. This is considered heavy strength work exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally or 25-50 pounds of force frequently. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally sit, climb and balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Level of Supervision Some independent judgement is required, based upon scope of practice and within professional standards
