Overview Sentara Health is currently seeking an experienced
Supervisor ,
Courier Services
to join their team in Norfolk, VA!
Responsibilities
Provide oversight for the delivery and logistics segment of the supply chain through daily supervision of courier operations.
Coordinate work, ensure quality of service, and directly supervise team members.
Be responsible for shift operations and serve as a liaison for Sentara Facilities and Warehouse.
Manage the vehicle fleet consisting of fourteen‑foot box trucks, cargo vans, and small cars.
Utilize state‑of‑the‑art computer and communications technology to track deliveries of diagnostic biologicals, supplies, and mail.
Handle two‑way radio communications and meet safety requirements mandated by OSHA and DMV.
Serve as a content expert for team’s work activities, provide assistance to the team, and may be required to work as a member.
Contribute to the success of the system by achieving system, hospital, and supply‑chain goals and objectives.
Ability to be on‑call.
Required Qualifications
4 years of transport/courier services experience
2 years of supervisory experience
