Summary of Job Function The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN is responsible for safety in practice, evidence-based practice, reporting safety issues, knowledge of patient population, supervising and directing delegation, setting and evaluating priorities, and utilizing the nursing process to individualize care plans.

Qualifications – Required
ASN or Nursing Diploma
1–2 years of experience within specialty
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Certifications and Licenses Required
BLS and ACLS certification
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Valid N.J. State Driver’s License
Qualifications – Preferred
BA/BS/BSN Degree
Completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited school
Screening Certification eligibility
National Certification
Scheduling Requirements
Day Shift, 24 hours per week
Essential Functions
Assure safety in practice and promote evidence-based practice.
Identify and report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
Maintain knowledge of patient population served.
Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other providers.
Prioritize interventions with measurable outcomes to improve care.
Lead the interdisciplinary team and use the nursing process to individualize care plans.
