Role Description This is a contract Mental Health Therapist role based in Nashville, TN, with a hybrid work setup allowing for some remote work flexibility. The therapist will provide individual and group therapy using trauma‑informed practices, create personalized treatment plans, and assess clients’ progress toward achieving their mental health goals. Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed clinical documentation, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and staying current on evidence‑based therapeutic techniques and best practices.
Qualifications
Experience in providing individual and group therapy, particularly with trauma‑informed approaches
Strong skills in developing personalized treatment plans and conducting mental health assessments
Competence in active listening, communication, and establishing a safe therapeutic relationship
Knowledge of evidence‑based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other trauma‑focused interventions
Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
Licensure in the state of Tennessee (e.g., LPC‑MHSP, LMFT, LCSW) or eligibility to obtain licensure
Experience working with trauma survivors and individuals experiencing issues such as imposter syndrome or relationship difficulties is an advantage
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
