Director of Clinical Services (DIR - CLINICAL SVCS - BH) – Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health
Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Position Summary The Director of Clinical Services provides direct supervision to all Clinical Services staff and oversees the development and implementation of clinical programs across the continuum of care, including acute, residential, and partial hospitalisation treatment for children and teens. The Director reviews policies and procedures, recommends changes, and assists in achieving organisational objectives regarding patient care, operational and financial goals, and community promotion of services.
Responsibilities
Direct supervision of Clinical Services staff.
Develop and implement clinical programmes and revise programme descriptions.
Prepare patient/parent handbooks and oversee clinical services in foster care.
Review policies and procedures and recommend changes to senior leadership.
Assist in achieving organisational objectives for patient care and financial goals.
Promote services within the community as a member of the management team.
Qualifications
Education : Master’s degree in a mental‑health field required.
Experience : Five (5) years of clinical and supervisory experience with child and adolescent populations in a residential care setting.
License / Certification : Current licensure in the state of Virginia required.
Skills :
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships inter‑departmentally and with clinical staff.
Ability to organise, delegate and role‑model manage the Clinical Services team.
Eligibility to provide clinical supervision towards a licence.
Clear oral and written communication in a concise manner.
Physical Requirements : Moderate walking, standing and sitting; must be able to safely engage in physical interventions.
