Med / Surg RN Job Details
Location: Tulsa, OK 74104
Healthcare Setting: Medical / Surgical Unit (25 beds)
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11 / 12 / 2025 – End: 2 / 11 / 2026)
Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1500
Patient Ratios: 1 : 5-6
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6‑week schedule period
Float Requirement: Yes, within scope
Documentation System: EPIC
Scrub Color: Navy
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
EPIC documentation experience preferred
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical / Surgical RN experience (2 years preferred)
Ability to float to similar healthcare units as needed
Proficient in blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin/insulin administration, isolation precautions, IV and PICC line management, wound care, telemetry, tracheostomy care, and rapid response/code teams
Med / Surg RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses
Maintain safe patient ratios of 1 : 5-6
Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and accurately document care in EPIC
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services
Float to similar clinical units within scope as required
Participate in scheduled weekend and night shift coverage
Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare procedures
