Additional Information About The Role
PCT Educator focusing on the onboarding, competency, and continued development of PCTs.
Full time, Cross County position. Primarily day shift with an occasional need to come in during evenings/nights/weekends to perform in services, ensuring competencies, developing preceptors/mentors, etc.
Masters preferred. Open to starting a program within one year.
Self‑motivated to see a problem and proactively address it.
Quick to pick up technology.
Previous experience in teaching or precepting.
Previous Professional Governance/Shared Governance experience.
Strong time management skills.
Splitting time between the two facilities (BJSP and PWH).
Overview Barnes‑Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102‑bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes‑Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.
Barnes‑Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes‑Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio‑pulmonary rehabilitation.

The Education team works together with the operational leaders of the hospital as well as the employees of the hospital to ensure appropriate and timely educational opportunities are available.
Role Purpose Creates and implement staff education and professional development activities and programs that optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational and professional development activities and programs for clinical and non‑clinical areas.
Collaborates with staff and representatives of other organizations to develop, present and or evaluate clinically focused training, continuing education and or professional development opportunities.
Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
Collaborates with leadership to assess the educational needs of the staff and develops appropriate education plan.
Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
