Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
What you will do
Collaborate with the Director to provide leadership to our team and play a role in fiscal, human resource, and operational functions.
Actively participate in department and hospital strategic planning and effectively implement new programs and services.
Maintain an effective competency and staff development program.
Handle day‑to‑day operations such as processing payroll, managing department expenses, participating on hospital committees, processing employee evaluations, and managing personnel issues.
Assist in maintaining a departmental staffing plan that meets the needs of the customer and is responsive to the changing census.
Ensure an appropriate skill mix and staffing levels in accordance with volume demands.
Create a positive environment and lead by example, holding staff accountable for their behaviors and attitudes (compassionate, professional, communicative).
Qualifications
Current lic in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi‑state Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification required.
Critical care, Emergency Room or Oncology experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience required.
Two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
