Role Overview As a patient care professional (Behavioral Health Technician) at ERC Pathlight, you will be part of a team that delivers hands‑on treatment, therapy sessions, and support to patients in our centers. The BHT works under the supervision of the Nursing department and is responsible for the direct care of inpatient and residential patients by providing patient supervision and support.
Responsibilities
Milieu Management:
Maintain daily program structure by following program schedule
Complete observation rounds and safety checks as ordered by physician
Work with patients on de‑escalation and implement coping skills per treatment plan
Provide patient transportation as needed for medical appointments (may vary by location and program)
Take patient vital signs, weights, urine specific gravity (may vary by location and program)
Other nursing support duties as assigned
Act as secondary support staff in group therapy (may vary by location and program)
Assist with morning routine and activities of daily living while patients are in spa/bathroom
Meal support and bathroom monitoring, including flush checks for patients in eating disorder program
Complete documentation of patient observations, meals, and individual check‑ins that occur during shift
Qualifications BHT I Must Haves
High School Graduate/GED (Required)
Associate’s Degree (Preferred)
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record (Required)
Psych Tech or CNA experience (Preferred)
6+ months of direct patient care/milieu experience (Preferred)
BHT II Must Haves
High School Graduate/GED (Required)
Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
1 year of Behavioral Health experience (Required)
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record (Required)
Minimum of 1 year of ERC milieu experience (for internal teammates only)
Teammates working in a Colorado Residential Child Care facility (RCCF) must:
be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age, or
be at least eighteen (18) years of age and work directly under the supervision of a teammate over twenty‑one (21) years of age.
Compensation Behavioral Health Technician I: $21.47 – $23.66 /hr
Behavioral Health Technician II: $23.66 – $26.50 /hr
Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience and education.
