Position Summary Under the direct supervision of a registered sonographer, performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.

Responsibilities
Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
Uses a degree of creativity and latitude required by the role
Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Actively enrolled student or recent graduate of an ultrasound program required; must be able to obtain RDMS credential within 90 days of hire
BLS required
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift or move up to 35 lbs
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
