$24.00 - $36.00
Travel required to support multiple locations within a 150‑mile radius of permanent address. Mileage reimbursement is provided for required travel.
Premium Pay Rates
$5/hour premium on all hours worked.
$1.25/hour weekend shift differential.
$1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
Experience Requirements 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
Scheduling Requirements
Minimum of 30 hours per month.
One weekend shift per month.
Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting, practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, and utilizes appropriate age and population‑specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per the care plan. The LPN performs testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status, administers medications or treatments as ordered, documents resident interactions and outcomes, and works effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary care team. The LPN also counsels residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
If the position requires IV therapy/management skills, a North Dakota license holder must have graduated from a Board‑approved AASPN program with IV therapy curriculum or completed an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
Minimum age of 18 years.
Must have attended a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan, or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility.
Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing Board and/or possesses multi‑state licensure privileges. Must obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies, certifications, annual CEU, and competency training.
