We are hiring a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner at our near‑site clinic. This role focuses on occupational health, primary care, and a preventative musculoskeletal injury program.
Essential Job Duties
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and physician oversight, including Department of Transportation (DOT) exams.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests, including reading x‑rays performed by onsite radiology tech where applicable.
Records physical findings, formulates treatment plan and prognosis, and provides written patient instructions.
Collaborates with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan for work‑related injuries and illnesses in designated locations.
Prescribes medications or recommends treatments such as physical therapy, acupuncture, or other procedures.
Refers patients to overseeing physician or specialized health resources.
Performs clinical procedures in clinic setting under Medical Director’s direction, such as laceration repair, joint injections, wound care.
Maintains medical records using EMR.
Educates and coaches clinical staff; assists center managers in program management.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Licensed Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in state of practice.
Nationally Certified as FNP, ANP, or AGNP by AANP or ANCC.
Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required.
Current DEA license to write prescriptions if allowed within state.
Valid NPI.
Current DOT medical examiner certification as directed.
Education, Skills, and Qualifications
Master’s degree required.
At least one year (three years preferred) of clinical experience as NP in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, urgent care, or emergency department.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
Ability to train ancillary support staff on clinical skills.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and workflow management skills.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
Other Qualifications
Work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends. Travel for assignments and/or training may be required.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands & fingers.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Salary : $75.00–$90.00/hr
