The CARDIAC CATH LAB at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center plays a critical role within the Cardiac Service Line of Excellence supporting the Heart & Vascular Institute. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Heart Lung Tower and includes 4 rooms plus a Hybrid room dedicated to diagnostic and interventional services, pacemakers, AICD’s, and electrophysiology procedures (TAVR, Mitral Clip, and LAAO).
Job Summary And Responsibilities As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting. You will independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab, including but not limited to IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, and angiojet. You’ll demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques, utilize good radiation safety practices, and positively impact internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform thorough and accurate imaging techniques for patient positioning according to the imaging order.
Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid failures.
Job Requirements Education and Experience
Two (2) years of current Radiology Technologist experience with hands‑on scrub, including interventional experience.
Completion of an approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program.
Licensure
Current Radiology License (CRT).
Current Arizona State License (MRTBE).
Current American Heart Association ACLS (preferred) and BLS certifications.
