Registered Nurse (RN) - Temporary Contracts in Labor Birth/Mother Baby

Join Health First as a Registered Nurse (RN) on a temporary contract basis, providing exceptional care to patients in the Labor & Delivery department during night shifts. This per diem position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in the Labor & Delivery department
Monitor and assess patient’s condition, and report any changes to the healthcare team
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including cesarean sections
Educate patients and their families on postpartum care and newborn care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Florida
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery
BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to work night shifts and weekends as needed
Education & Certification Requirements
Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN highly preferred
Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement
AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card required before start date and must be maintained
Other certification(s) as required by specific unit
Language: Must be able to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in English

Temporary contract with potential for extension
