Physical Therapist Assistant

Join the Optum team as a Physical Therapist Assistant in home health. Your role is to provide treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-Being following the established plan of care. Primary Responsibilities

Follow state laws and the treatment plan set by the supervising physical therapist; perform only qualified procedures. Instruct and aid patients with active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional tasks, ADL, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, or physician. Coordinate care with other team members and instruct patients, families, caregivers, and team members in the scope of the PT assistant. Required Qualifications

Licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice. Current CPR certification. Current driver license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable vehicle or public transportation. Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client. Available to work a weekend rotation. Preferred Qualifications

Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility. Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour based on full-time employment.
